Social and Technical Demographer, Dr. Padma Prasad Khatiwada, is a Faculty/Instructor for PhD, MPhil and MA in Tribhuvan University (TU). Served as a Vice-Chairperson of Social Welfare Council, Dr. Khatiwada has contributed as Team Leader over two dozen research studies on social sciences, many of them are published as policy papers and as journal articles by the national and international institutions. Dr. Khatiwada has presented these research papers in various forums/venues both inside Nepal and abroad (universities, CSO platforms and events organised by inter/governmental agencies). Well renowned as a human rights activist and policy contributor for TU, National Planning Commission, Ministry of Health and Population, Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizen, Dr. Khatiwada also serves as a Core Committee Member of South Asia Alliance for Poverty Eradication (SAAPE), Vice-President of Human Rights Alliance and dozen other similar social and professional organisations.

Uddhav Sigdel presently holds the position of an associate professor at the Central Department of Population Studies, Tribhuvan University. He obtained his PhD from FOHS, Tribhuvan University, after completing his MPhil and Master's degrees from the same department. Besides specializing in population studies, Dr. Sigdel has also received academic training in Sociology/Anthropology and political science at Tribhuvan University. With over 20 years of experience in teaching, research, and social science training, he has actively participated in various workshops and short courses to enhance his expertise.
Dr. Sigdel has a rich record of publishing research articles in various peer-reviewed journals, including collaborative research work with national and international organizations. He has also authored books and contributed to book chapters in Nepal.
His research interests primarily revolve around multi-method research (MMR) with a focus on social inclusion/exclusion, HIV/AIDS, political/anthropological demography, and critical social science research. Dr. Sigdel demonstrates a strong proficiency in conceptualizing research problems, study design, and academic writing. Moreover, he has experience in various research philosophies, such as positivist, interpretative, critical, and decolonization of mainstream research practices (indigenous research).
Along with his academic role, Dr. Sigdel maintains affiliations with different organizations in Nepal. He holds lifetime memberships with the Population Association of Nepal, Nimbark Darshan Kendra, and the Center of Social Science Research. Additionally, he is recognized as a visiting scholar at various national and international academic institutions.
